  from 14.30 CET time\nGiven its geographic position\, the Mediterranean re
 gion represents a bridge between Europe and Africa and can play a key role
  in the energy transition process of the Area. In addiction the existing e
 nergy interconnections between the countries of the North and South of the
  Mediterranean represents an important opportunity for the future energy l
 andscape of the region.\nThe World Energy Council's Mediterranean Energy T
 rilemma provides the opportunity to compare and contrast the energy policy
  performance of differing countries of the Area. Examining the three dimen
 sions of the energy performance – security\, equity and sustainability – e
 nables to assess the development of country and regional-specific challeng
 es. The aggregated results of the Mediterranean Trilemma illustrate some o
 f the shared themes and issues within this geographic region but there is 
 also scope to group the countries differently\, around cultural clusters o
 r international alliances\, to explore new insights into comparative energ
 y policy performance and energy transition.\nStarting from the results of 
 the World Energy Trilemma\, with particular reference to the countries of 
 the Mediterranean and their Trilemma Energy Balances\, WEC Italy (the Ital
 ian Committee of the World Energy Council) in collaboration with the WEC S
 ecretariat\, the WEC National Committees of the Mediterranean and the Obse
 rvatoire Mediterranéen de l'Energie (OME)\, and in partnership with Edison
 \, organizes a web talk with the aim of strengthening the dialogue between
  the Mediterranean and European communities on the energy transition proce
 ss undergoing in the Area. \nThe web talk 'Energy Transition in the Medite
 rranean Area: new geographies\, new alliances' represents a further step i
 n the in-depth process on the Euro-Mediterranean transition started by WEC
  Italy since the World Energy Week Milan 2018\, the World Energy Congress 
 Abu Dhabi 2019 and the World Energy Week 2020\, with meetings and opportun
 ities for debate with main stakeholders involved in the process.\nThe even
 t will be streamed on WEC Italy's YouTube channel. Please\, note that regi
