30th edition of the most important conference on fusion technology

The 30th edition of the Symposium on Fusion Technology (SOFT 2018) will be held in Giardini Naxos (Messina, Sicily). The event is organized by the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), the agency leading fusion research and technology development in Italy. 

The biennial Symposium on Fusion Technology is the most important conference in this field in Europe. It regularly attracts more than 800 scientists, engineers, industry representatives and exhibitors from all over the world and focuses on the latest developments on fusion experiments and activities.

From 16th to 21st September 2018, SOFT will include invited, oral and poster presentations as well as industrial and R&D exhibitions. Thanks to its charming location on the Mediterranean Sea and to its extraordinary history, meeting point of different peoples and cultures, Sicily will provide the participants with a unique mixture of nature, art and traditions.

In partnership with other six companies, RINA is participating in the event to highlight the fusion energy projects in which we are or were involved thanks to our experience and advanced technology knowledge.
